From 650 attendees in 2016 to over 25k in 2023, Afro Tech is undeniably the world’s premier gathering of Black tech innovators, creators, and engineers in tech.

To match that energy in 2024, our team supported Microsoft in designing a tagline that merged the spirit of the conference, their place in it, and the culture that powers both.

Originally meant for placement on smaller assets, they loved it so much that it became the name for their central hub:

The House of Black TechXcellence.

The name shined as a focal point throughout the weekend, serving as a heavy-hitting incubator for discussions on the power of Black voices in tech to the relevance of AI for everyone from hometown heroes to lifestyle legends like Keith Lee, Speedy Mormon, and Corporate Erin.
